On Friday,the Turkish Parliament passed a resolution in an extraordinary session accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and calling for the regime’s membership in the United Nations and other international institutions to be suspended until these policies are completely stopped.
According to international media reports, the resolution, signed by Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus, described Israel’s actions in Gaza as “a crime of genocide” and called on the international community to increase pressure on Israel to accept a permanent ceasefire, withdraw military forces from Gaza, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid to the region.
The resolution also called on the parliaments of other countries to sever their military and trade relations with Israel and to take action to lift the blockade of Palestine.
