Israeli airstrikes and military operations in southern Damascus and Sweida

News sources have reported at least 16 Israeli airstrikes on southern Damascus, some of which targeted the headquarters of the Syrian Army’s 44th Division.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army has carried out an airborne operation on a military base located in the city of Al-Kiswah, a suburb of Damascus, and has deployed its special forces in the area.

According to reports, four Israeli helicopters have entered Sweida province and deployed the regime’s special forces in the area.

Hebrew media have also confirmed that Israeli special forces have reached the Damascus suburbs and attempted to destroy military equipment in Al-Kiswah.

The Golani forces have refrained from engaging Israeli forces, and the Israeli army has deployed dozens of soldiers and intelligence equipment in the area.

SANA news agency announced that during a Syrian army patrol near Jabal Al-Mana, south of Damascus, surveillance and listening devices were discovered, and while trying to neutralize these devices, the area was suddenly targeted by an Israeli airstrike.
