Pentagon increases funding for ERAM missile development for Ukraine

According to a report by Sputnik, the Pentagon has allocated a budget of $67.3 million to accelerate the development of ERAM (Extended Range Attack Munition) missiles for Ukraine.

Pentagon documents show that instead of a single contract, two separate, parallel prototype projects were funded with significant financial commitments to prepare these weapons for production.

CoAspire LLC in Fairfax, Virginia, has received $33.8 million, up from its initial budget of $13.2 million.

Zone 5 Technologies LLC in San Luis Obispo, California, also received a parallel contract worth $33.5 million, up from the initial $7.7 million.

Earlier, reports had been published that the Trump administration had approved the sale of 3,350 ERAM missiles with a range of up to 450 kilometers to Ukraine.

The missiles, part of an $850 million aid package, are scheduled to be delivered to Ukrainian forces in the next few weeks.
