At least three police officers were injured in a shooting while executing a search warrant in the US state of Virginia.
According to Russia Today, local authorities say that three deputy sheriffs in the US state of Virginia were also shot and injured while trying to enforce a warrant against a person.
According to American officials, the incident occurred in southern Virginia and three injured officers were taken to the hospital and are now in good condition.
The Associated Press reported that the suspect was eventually taken into police custody after hours of fighting.
Pittsylvania County Sheriff Michael Taylor said the suspects were issued warrants for threatening with a firearm and entering property without the owner’s permission.
