Global condemnation of the Zionist regime’s plan to occupy Gaza and Hezbollah’s response to pressure for disarmament

The foreign ministers of five Western countries, including Australia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, strongly condemned in a joint statement the Israeli security cabinet’s plan to carry out a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip.

The statement, published on the German Foreign Ministry’s website on Saturday morning, warns that the implementation of this plan will lead to widespread displacement of civilians, exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, and endanger the lives of prisoners.

In another development, Mohammad Ra’ad, the head of Hezbollah’s representatives in the Lebanese parliament, responded to pressure to disarm the group, stating: “Handing over weapons is suicide; whoever hands over their weapons has lost their honor.”

Emphasizing the role of weapons in protecting the country, he asked, “Who guarantees that the country will be protected if weapons are handed over?”

These developments indicate increased tensions in the region and political and military complexities following the Zionist regime’s occupation plans and regional and international reactions to them.
