On Thursday evening (30th of 2025), the US Treasury Department sanctioned five entities and one individual in Iran, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China on charges of providing technology for Iran’s drone program.
This action was taken in line with Donald Trump’s maximum pressure campaign.
On Wednesday, the United States sanctioned more than 50 individuals, entities, and ships linked to Iran’s oil trade.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei called these sanctions “a crime against humanity” and a violation of international law, emphasizing that these measures cannot weaken the will of the Iranian nation to maintain sovereignty and progress.
