Pakistani army reports killing of 30 militants in North Waziristan
The Pakistani army said in a statement that 30 militants were killed in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan near the border with Afghanistan on Friday morning.
In this statement, the Pakistani army called these people “Kharijites” and claimed that they had the support of India.
The Pakistani army added that a large group of terrorists affiliated with the Khawarij sedition tried to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan but were destroyed by the vigilance of Pakistani border guards and a large amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered from them.
The militants tried to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, but were foiled by Pakistani forces, killing at least 30 people, the statement said.
So far, the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have not commented on the matter, but had previously strongly denied using Afghan territory against neighboring countries.
