Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with the American CBS news network that the Fordow nuclear facility has suffered very serious and extensive damage following the recent attacks.
Emphasizing that there is still no accurate information about the current status of the facility, he added: “As far as I know, the extent of the damage is very high and very serious, and it is apparently not usable at the moment.”
In response to a question about the claims made about the complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities, he stated that the appearance indicates that the damage was very heavy, but detailed information is not yet available.
Referring to his country’s scientific and technological capabilities, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that nuclear energy has become an indigenous science and technology in Iran and bombing cannot destroy this knowledge.
If our will is to rebuild, which it is, we can quickly repair and compensate for the damage, not because the facilities are intact, but because the technology is at the disposal of our scientists.
