The Islamic resistance movement Hamas issued a statement on Saturday in response to the proposal of Steve Whittock, the US President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, and announced that “our response is to achieve a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and guarantee the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, access to humanitarian aid.”
Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East said Saturday evening in response to Hamas’ statement that Hamas should accept the proposed framework that we have presented as a basis for talks, so that we can begin it immediately next week.
The American special envoy also said: “This is the only way to conclude a 60-day ceasefire agreement, under which half of the prisoners will be returned alive and half of the bodies.”
The Axios news website previously reported, citing an informed source, that Hamas was not satisfied with Wittkoff’s new plan and believed that it had been changed to benefit the Zionist regime.
