Following today’s attacks by India and Pakistan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has asked the National Command to hold a meeting.
Pakistan’s National Command Office is the highest body composed of civil and military officials that makes security decisions, including the country’s nuclear arsenal.
The conflict between India and Pakistan has intensified since Saturday morning.
However, the foreign ministers of the Group of Seven have said in a statement that this group declares its support for a diplomatic solution regarding the tension between India and Pakistan and asked both countries to exercise maximum restraint and reduce tensions immediately.
The declaration states that these countries are “deeply concerned” about the safety of civilians on both sides of the border between India and Pakistan.
