In response to Donald Trump’s and Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements about the Palestinian issue and the normalization of Israel’s relations with Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia emphasized in a statement that Saudi Arabia will not stop its continuous efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and that the country will not establish any diplomatic relations with Israel unless this condition is fulfilled.
Saudi Arabia once again emphasized the resolute rejection of any violation of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including Israel’s settlement policies, the annexation of Palestinian lands, or attempts to forcibly evict the Palestinian people from their land.
Saudi Arabia said that this stable position is neither negotiable nor a subject for bargaining… a just and lasting peace cannot be realized without guaranteeing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people based on international legal resolutions.
