According to NBC News, the Republican Party was able to win 2 seats from the Democrats in the Senate, and currently the Republicans have 49 seats and the Democrats have 41 seats.
In the previous parliament, both parties had 50 seats, but due to the presence of Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party was in the majority position.
