Pakistan has no desire to talk with TTP
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Islamabad had no interest in negotiating with terrorist groups responsible for killing Pakistani civilians and security forces.
Mrs. Baloch emphasized in a press conference with reporters: “We believe that such suggestions and recommendations are disrespectful to the families who have lost their loved ones due to the actions of TTP.”
The statement was made in response to a question about the remarks of Sardar Ahmad Shakib, the acting head of the Afghan embassy in Pakistan; Mr Shakib had earlier said the issue of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) needed to be discussed.
Ms. Baloch on Afghan migrants killed at border with Iran has not commented.
