The government of Pakistan declared the activities of the Pashtun protection movement illegal

The federal government of Pakistan announced on Sunday 6th of October that it has listed the Pashtun Protection Movement as a banned organization and banned its activities in the country.

The statement of the federal government states that the activities of this movement are against peace and security in Pakistan.

“The federal government has reason to believe that the Pashtun Protection Movement is involved in certain activities that are against the peace and security of the country,” the statement said.

The federal government of Pakistan has therefore decided to include the Pashtun Protection Movement in the list of banned organizations under Article 11 of the Counter-Terrorism Act place and prohibit its activity.

Pashtun Preservation Movement is one of the famous groups that supports the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan, who has repeatedly protested against the discrimination and illegal behavior of the Pakistani army.

This movement has accused the Pakistani army of Anti-human rights behaviors such as illegal killings and forced disappearances of Pashtuns have taken place in tribal areas.
