An American defense official in an interview with Reuters news agency confirmed the missile attack on the American military base near the Baghdad airport, but at the same time said that no American soldiers were harmed in this attack.
Earlier, news sources had reported a missile attack on the US Victoria military base in the vicinity of Baghdad airport.
