Zelensky called the purpose of the attack on Russian territory to prevent further Russian attacks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the aim of the offensive by Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region on Russian territory was to create a “buffer zone” to prevent Moscow from further attacks across the border.
This is the first time that Volodymyr Zelensky has clearly stated the purpose of his country’s forces’ offensive attacks on Kursk; Earlier, he said the attacks were aimed at protecting communities from continuous firing.
According to the Associated Press report, Mr Zelensky said that our main task now is to Defensive operations generally destroy the maximum Russia’s fighting ability and taking maximum mutual measures.
