Tajikistan extend railway to Afghanistan border

According to the Asia Plur Agency new agreement signed between Tajikistan and South Korea, Tajikistan is developing a railway to the Afghan border.

Tajik Transport Minister Aziz Ibrahimi said the railway was aimed at reaching markets in South Asian countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

He added: If this project is successfully implemented, trade in goods with neighboring countries will increase, which will be great benefit to Tajikistan and other countries in the region.

It is worth mentioning that the implementation period of this project is three year and its cost is estimated at four million dollars.
