UNICEF: more than 24% of Afghan children suffer from anxiety

In its latest report, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that more than 24% of children between the ages of 5 and 17 in Afghanistan suffer from anxiety, which is 10 times more than the global average.

According to this report, nearly 15% of children in Afghanistan have depression.

This institution has added that restrictions on girls’ education and reducing their hope for work and a better future and access to health care have increased the challenges.

UNICEF continues to point out which was nearly three thousand last year trained social workers in Afghanistan nearly half of them were women.
