French President Emmanuel Macron announced the sale of French Mirage 2005 fighter jets to Ukraine on Friday (7th of June).
Macron: I hope that Ukraine will be able to protect its territory and airspace against Russian attacks with these fighters.
He added that Paris will soon start training Ukrainian pilots to control and guide Mirage fighters.
The French president emphasized that Kiev should be allowed to use the provided weapons used by its western allies to target military targets on Russian soil and to neutralize the points from which they are attacked.
