Russia: The agenda for the possible meeting between Putin, Xi Jinping and Trump should not be limited to one issue
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko has told the media that the agenda of a possible trilateral meeting between Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump on the sidelines of the summit should not focus on just one issue but should encompass a wide range of issues of interest to all three countries.
Rudenko has emphasized that Moscow wants to hold this trilateral meeting and will strive to ensure that the topics discussed reflect the common interests of Russia, China, and the United States.
US President Donald Trump had previously said that the potential meeting should focus primarily on nuclear disarmament, not the Ukraine issue. Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, also hinted at the possibility of such a meeting in October.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is scheduled to be held on November 18 and 19 in Shenzhen, China.
