Yemeni scholars: Saudi Arabia used the sanctity of Medina as a pretext for attacking Yemen
The Yemeni Scholars Association has rejected Saudi Arabia’s claim in a statement that Yemeni forces targeted the Medina electricity facilities, calling it a “lie” and “slander.”
The association has called on scholars from the Islamic world to take a stand against these claims, saying that they believe such accusations are aimed at tarnishing the image of the Yemeni people and justifying actions against the country.
The Yemeni Scholars Association has also accused Saudi Arabia of using the sanctity of Mecca and Medina for political purposes, claiming that Riyadh has exerted extensive pressure on the people of Yemen over the past years through sieges and attacks.
The statement also referred to Saudi Arabia’s previous claim about a drone attack from Yemen on Mecca, which Yemeni officials had denied.
The Yemeni Scholars Association has finally called on scholars from the Islamic world to speak the truth against what it calls “dangerous accusations against the Yemeni nation.”
