Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he and President Massoud Pezzekian of Iran did not go to New York for war, but rather their goal was to pave the way for peace.
Araqchi stressed that Iran will resist any aggression, even if the conflict leads to what he called an “apocalyptic war.”
The Iranian foreign minister also said that Tehran is ready for “real diplomacy.”
