Afghan forces targeted and destroyed a Pakistani military post in Kargo Ghar area of Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province on Sunday evening in response to mortar attacks by Pakistani forces on Afghan positions, security sources told the media.
According to sources, Pakistani forces also suffered casualties in this conflict, but the exact number is not known. Local sources also reported that there was a clash between forces from both sides that lasted about two hours in the Karwan Go area.
A source on the other side of the hypothetical line also confirmed that Pakistani forces had abandoned a number of posts along the line in the Shorabak and Spin Boldak deserts.
Sources say the situation in the region is currently normal, but Afghan forces are on alert.
