The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced that President Xi Jinping will visit the United States from September 23 to 25 at the invitation of Donald Trump. The two sides are scheduled to discuss China-US relations and issues related to global peace and development.
Xi Jinping and Donald Trump are expected to meet in Washington on Thursday; it will be the second meeting between the two presidents in the past six months.
During this visit, trade issues, tariffs, artificial intelligence, and other controversial issues between the two countries will be on the agenda of the talks. Chinese officials have also emphasized strengthening dialogue and cooperation and managing differences between the two countries.
