Novosti news agency reported, based on international flight data, that four NATO spy planes flew near the Russian borders on Wednesday, September 16.
According to the report, a US Bombardier ARTEMIS II spy plane flew for nearly seven hours over the Black Sea along the Russian coast, reaching the vicinity of Sochi; a British Air Force Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint later joined the mission and continued on to the Kaliningrad region.
At the same time, a Boeing E-3A Sentry early warning aircraft was conducting flight maneuvers in the skies over Poland, about 100 kilometers from the borders of Kaliningrad.
Novosti also reported the flight of a Swedish Air Force Gulfstream S102B Korpen spy plane along the Russian-Finnish border; previously, an American RC-135W Rivet Joint had also flown near the Russian borders over the Barents Sea on September 5.
