The Axios website, citing informed sources, reported that US President Donald Trump plans to meet with the heads of state or foreign ministers of the six Gulf Cooperation Council member states on Tuesday next week on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to these sources, the meeting will discuss the next stage of the war with Iran and US proposals for a post-war strategy.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Axios also reported that Trump and senior US government officials are developing a plan for the post-war period. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also seeking to meet with Trump in New York, but no meeting has been scheduled between them yet.
