British Prime Minister Andy Burnham is considering Saudi Arabia’s request for military and diplomatic support against Yemen.
According to Bloomberg, Riyadh has asked London to help in two areas: operational support for Saudi forces to prevent Yemeni forces from advancing towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait and protecting Saudi oil facilities from missile and drone attacks.
According to the report, Burnham has so far agreed to send British military advisers to Saudi Arabia, but has not yet committed to sending more combat troops or warships.
