Hamas warns against plans to build Jewish temple at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Harun Nasseruddin, member of the Politburo and the head of Jerusalem affairs for the Hamas movement warned against Israeli settlers’ plans to build a Jewish temple inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling it part of efforts to change the identity and historical status of this holy site.

Hamas has announced that the increase in attacks and the holding of Jewish rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque is an attempt to change the historical and legal status of this place and impose a new reality.

The movement has also warned that with the arrival of Jewish holidays, there is a possibility of increased settler attacks and Talmudic rituals being held at Al-Aqsa Mosque; actions that Hamas says are being carried out with the support of the Israeli police and the political backing of the regime’s government.
