A new study shows that, in addition to the number of daily steps, walking speed can also play a role in reducing the risk of premature death and heart disease.
According to this research, walking between 7,500 and 10,000 steps daily can have the greatest health benefits.
Researchers have also said that people who walk less than 5,000 steps a day can reduce some of the risks of inactivity by walking briskly for at least 30 minutes a day.
