Trump nominated the head of the FBI
The President-elect of the United States announced his choice for the new director of the FBI.
Donald Trump has announced that he has decided to nominate Cash Patel as the next director of the FBI.
“I am proud to announce that 44-year-old Kesh Patel will serve as the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Trump wrote on his social network called “Truth Social”.
In this way, the current director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, must resign or be fired.
Christopher was appointed by Trump in 2017 and has three years left of his 10-year term.
During Trump’s first term, Patel, who is of Indian descent, called for stripping the FBI of its intelligence-gathering role and purging its ranks of any employees who refused to support Trump’s agenda.
